Participant Information

An invite for a gentle forest walk, best suited for those recovering or managing an illness or injury.

Anyone is welcome to join, however this forest walk is designed specifically for those recovering from injuries or illness, hense the "gentle walk" vs "hike" or "objectives". This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, meet new friends, and enjoy the outdoors at a comfortable pace. Everyone is welcome, and we will ensure that the cadence of our hike respects everyone’s limitations.

The event is subject to weather - I may change the location or meet up point if there is snow/ice or heavy rain, but it will be in the north shore area and accessible by transit.  Worse case, we turn this into a social event :)  The objective is connection, movement and outdoors.

This is another wide walking trail that is suitable for anyone. Please be sure to bring your essentials, some warm clothing and a headlamp.

I will confirm parking and meet up point closer to the date.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

TRIP DETAILS:

Meet up location:

Mosquito Creek (actual spot tbd)

Again, this is a fairly straightforward forest walk, the trails are wide and mostly even and not a lot of elevation gain.  Once I have a better idea of the participants and limitations, I will create a suitable route.  For those that want to come out but are looking for a bit more of a challenge - feel free to incorporate any exercises or weights to the walk.  Some ideas: a weighted backpack, interval lunges instead of walking...heck, we can even cheer you on as you do push ups every so often!   Any way you participate, it will be fun for all :)

Meet up time:  6:30pm

Hiking: 1hr-1.5hrs forest walking

Post Hike Social: tbd (lots of choices in the area!)

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to me, text is best 778-241-9580.

hope to see you there!
