Participant Information

MOVED BY ONE WEEKEND DUE TO WEATHER
Ipsoot is a glacieated mountain west of Pemberton and we are seeing a clear weather window forecasted for this upcoming weekend.
We will together scope out a less known approach to Ipsoot Mt via the East Valley Route (see gpx attached). Snow on the Rutherford FSR is up to kilometer 5, which is close to the branch RUT24-1. We will take this branch and find our way along Pemberton Creek into the alpine. There may be some type 2 fun along the way, but we hope snow levels are still far enough down so that it covers some of the alder or bush.
We plan to camp up on the glacier - nothing beats a sunset and sunrise on a glacier - summit Ipsoot, perhaps get a few ski laps in and decent via the same route on Sunday.

We will monitor the weather and avalanche conditions over the coming week and make a group decision on Thursday or Friday if the trip can happen. Our biggest priority is to get home safe and to have fun outdoors, if this means to not get the summit, so be it.
We will operate as a group and make group decisions and would expect that you check maps and terrain before hand so that we can make informed decisions together. We will have a moderate pace.
Please answer the screening questions below.
