The plan is to snowshoe and/or ski to the Watersprite Hut, and then continue up Martin Peak for a bit of spring skiing. On the way, you will be asked to lend a bit of muscle to help pull a log across Watersprite Creek to create a better winter access bridge. This should take no more than an hour. Once the work is done you can continue up to the Watersprite Hut and ski or snowshoe up Martin Peak for a bit of spring skiing or just a nice snowshoe trip. There is plenty of snow, so you must have backcountry skis or snow shoes. For Martin Peak, an ice axe is recommended. To get to the Watersprite Winter trail, you will need an AWD vehicle. This will be a moderately fast-paced trip. You should be able to hike the Grouse Grind in about an hour. This should be a fun day in the hills with a chance to give back to the outdoor community.
