You must login in order to sign up online for one of the BCMC Trips. If you don't have a BCMC membership account then please obtain one. If you'd prefer to learn more before joining then please join as a 30-day Guest member. Some trips are BCMC members only.
We will aim to meet in the main parking lot for the Smoke Bluffs for 2:00pm. We can firm up the start time in our WhatsApp chat once you both leave Vancouver.
I will have a list of climbs we can hit in the 5.6-5.8 range. We will spend some time discussing general trad climbing tactics (ie. how to rack up effectively, gear placements, gear conservation, etc). Be prepared to do some mock-leads with the option to lead if you feel comfortable. I will bring a large selection of gear so you can stitch it up on your first few leads.
Please ensure you each have the following:
- Climbing shoes
- Harness
- Helmet
- Crack gloves
- A few locking carabiners
- Personal anchor system (optional)
- Belay device
