This trail is rated as challenging, but is claimed to have even better views than Diez Vistas, and the snow should be gone by this point. Bring enough water and snacks!

Each mentee will be expected to be entirely self-sufficient, including with navigation. Please download maps and prepare to be familiarized with the route in advance. Do not expect the mentor to "guide" the hike, rather to facilitate group decision making.

The intention is to complete this trail as an out-and-back with time for lunch and snacks at the top. The hike will likely be done by about 3-4pm. If it is a warm day, you might enjoy a swim in the lake at the end. If you plan to swim, include this in your trip plan because cell reception can be spotty, and you don't want anyone worrying about you.

Transit: Bus 179 Buntzen Lake.

Recommendation: that everyone who wants to drive attempts to get a parking pass the day before. Those who are successful getting a pass can drive, and others can carpool. OR, Public Transit. First bus leaves Coquitlam Central at 8:00am, arriving 8:23am on Saturdays.

We will meet between the two bathroom buildings at Buntzen Lake at 8:30am to do a check of 10 essentials.
