Trip Planning Questions

If we haven't climbed together, tell me about your outdoor climbing experience (lead climb/belay? Grades? set/clean anchors? anything else that seems relevant).

What group gear (rope/draws/anchor) can you bring?

Prefer to drive or be a passenger? If driver, how many passengers can you take?

Participant Information

Send sport routes at either Sully's Hangout in North Van (first choice) or The Playground/Courtyard up Mamquam (weather backup, faster drying than Sully's). All of these areas have climbs ranging from soft (<5.7)-sendy (>5.11). I will be leading in the 5.10-5.11 range. Less experienced climbers are welcome, but this is not a course. Please communicate your experience and anything you aren't comfortable with/need a review on before roping someone in (pun intended) & always do your buddy checks.

Meet-up time/place will be determined based on which crag we decide to hit, which will be based on whether the rain in the long-range forecast hits late in the week. Sully's tend to take some time to dry, hence the backup plan (I am open to other fast-drying crags with short approaches too). The trip will be cancelled if it is raining or there is a high chance of rain the morning of the trip.

I need to be home by 3:00 so will be cutting out relatively early, but people are more than welcome to continue crushing without me!

Everyone is expected to bring:

Personal gear (helmet highly recommended), PAS, enough food & water for the day, appropriate clothing, I recommend bug spray for both of these areas

We will need a minimum of 2x60m ropes and set of quickdraws/every 2 people.

Please make sure to answer the trip planning questions, and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
