Participant Information

Lady Peak is a stunning summit in the Cheam Range, offering dramatic alpine scenery and expansive views of the Fraser Valley, Mount Baker, and Jones Lake. Starting from the Cheam Peak trailhead, we’ll ascend through meadows and alpine slopes until the route veers off toward Lady Peak’s west ridge. At this time of the year, there will be still a lot of snow higher up.

Route Details

  • Trail: Lady Peak Trail on AllTrails
  • Duration: 5-6 hours
  • Distance: 7km.
  • Elevation gain: 750m
  • Difficulty: difficult, steep and scrambling to reach the summit.
  • Scrambling/Exposure: scree scrambling followed by an exposed ridgeline traverse to the summit.

Required Gear:

  • Hiking shoes suitable for scrambling and snow travel.
  • 2L minimum of water.
  • 10 essentials.
  • Helmet.
  • Ice Axe.
  • Microspikes.
  • Adequate clothing for the forecast.

Optional but recommended gear

  • Hiking poles with snow baskets.
  • Gaiters

Meeting Details

  • Time: 7:00 am.
  • Location: East Guildford Ride and Park
  • Carpooling Fee: Recommended $45/person (up to two people) and $35/person (3 and more people).
  • Driving Notes: High clearance vehicle required to reach the trailhead. Minimum of 9.2" of ground clearance.
