Mamquam Mountain is a remote and dramatic peak in the southern Garibaldi Ranges, offering a true wilderness experience and astonishing views of the Mamquam Icefield, Garibaldi Ranges, and the Tantalus Range. We will start from the Watersprite trailhead, following a trail up the forest before crossing the Paranoid Creek, then cross the Mamquam Icefield and approach the summit via the southeast ridge.

- Meet at St Davids United Church at 6:00 pm for carpooling.
- Arrive at the Waterprite Lake trailhead around 8:00 pm and camp.
- Any SUV can make it to the trailhead.
- Saturday

- Start hiking at 5:00 am sharp.
- Expect 12+ hours round-trip.
Requirements to Join
- Glacier travel gear: harness and crevasse rescue equipment.
- Crampons.
- Helmet.
- Ice axe.
Route Details
- Trail: Mamquam Mountain via the southeast ridge.
- Distance: 21 km.
- Duration: 12-14 hours.
- Elevation gain: 1800 m.
- Difficulty: Difficult; suitable with people with some mountaineering experience, with long and demanding days.
- Scrambling / Exposure: class 3 scramble with some exposure.

- Time: Friday 6:00 pm
- Location: St David's United Church for carpooling.
- Carpooling fee: $30 for up to two passengers, and $21 for 3+ passengers.
- Driving notes: the Mamquam FSR is 2WD accessible with any SUV.
