It's time for our annual Summer Get-together and we're heading back to John Hendry Park at Trout Lake!

It’s not surprising that John Hendry Park is such a popular destination; tranquil Trout Lake and a wide range of active and passive recreation opportunities create an exceptional setting. The beach area and wildlife habitat around the lake can almost make one forget that that the park is in the city, especially when illuminated with glowing lights at the annual lantern festival.

Swing by to chat with your fellow mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts. Make new connections and adventure partners or swing by to learn a bit more about the Club and how you can be a part of our growing community of ~1400 members.

As this is a free-for-all, make this park hang what you want it to be. Bring your BBQ and picnic, park games to share.  There is also small concession near the beach for purchase of snacks and drinks.

Alcohol is permitted in this park so feel free to BYOB.

*Please note that our annual Blessing of the Ice Axes performed by (Rabbi) Philip Gibbs will take place at our September Social, indoors at the Anza Club. Keep an eye out for details in the trip list coming soon!
