Vantage Peak + Optional Mount Duke
Vantage Peak is usually a single-day objective, but looking to enjoy a couple days in a stunning location, with the chance to tag a second, lesser-known summit if the group’s energy and skills align. The area offers great views of the Joffre Group and Twin One Glacier.
We’ll meet in Squamish at 6:30 AM and head up the Duffey to the Cerise Creek trailhead. We will follow the trail, crossing the Joffre landslide, to Keith’s hut to drop off our overnight gear. We’ll then proceed up the west ridge to the Vantage summit, enjoy the views, then return to the hut to set up camp and have dinner. We’ll hike back to the car in the morning.
Bonus adventure: If the group’s feeling strong and stoked — and up for some scrambling and a bit of exposure — we’ll make a go for Mount Duke via the northwest ridge. There’s not a ton of info on this route, so it’ll be a little exploratory! Or… we can just chill, explore the area, or go for a dip post-summit.

Gear:
I’m planning to bring my tent. You’re welcome to stay in the hut, but there is a chance it will be busy. Let’s chat about shared gear — water filters, first aid kits, etc. — in the planning forum. Helmets might be smart if we go for Mount Duke, per the trip report.
I can fit 5 in my car with overnight gear, but we can also take 2 vehicles. I'll be driving from Squamish.
