Two day trip to summit Mount Weart, the second-highest peak in Garibaldi Provincial Park. On Day 1 we’ll hike up to Wedgemount Lake (7 km, ~1,200m gain), set up camp, and enjoy a night by the lake. I have two tent pads reserved for a max of 4 people.
Day 2 we’ll get up early to strike camp and start our ascent to the summit of Mount Weart. After the summit, we’ll return to camp to grab our gear, and hike out (12.6km, ~1000m gain, ~2150m loss).
All participants must have recent experience with Class 3 scrambling and full-day mountain efforts. This is a challenging route requiring solid fitness and patience for loose scree and boulder fields. This trip is only going ahead if the weather looks good.
