Trip Planning Questions

Are you prepared and self sufficient for September backpacking?

What kind of shelter are you bringing or are you open to sharing? (to plan tent pads/spots and maybe lighten packs, TBD in forum)

Please Confirm you will secure a BC Parks registration?

Participant Information

All Trails rates this as difficult with 1500m at the top.  https://www.alltrails.com/trail/canada/british-columbia/golden-ears-trail

Plan is to get to the gate early so we can secure spots at Panorama Ridge. Water situation at alpine level seems ok based on trip reports, but Alder Flats may be the last fill up.

We can leave and option for camping at Alder Flats and continuing to summit with day packs based on weather and group discussion in the forum.

Bring your 10 essentials. Any more specific equipment can be discussed in the planning forum

BC Parks Backcountry Registration opens up September 5th @7am for this trip. Please book a night.
