The summer is winding down, and the evenings are getting shorter, so let’s enjoy one last after-work climb of the season! We’ll head to Murrin Park, one of Squamish’s best climbing areas and just a 35-minute drive from St. David’s Church. We’ll choose a crag with a wide range of grades, offering opportunities for both lead climbing and top-roping. All levels are welcome.
This event is beginner-friendly, but you should know how to top-rope belay to join and have your own climbing shoes, harness, and helmet. The total number of people who can attend will depend on the number of ropes we get (max 3 people per rope).
What to bring
- Climbing shoes.
- Harness.
- Helmet.
- Belay device.
- Food and snacks.
- At least 2 litre of water.
- Rope (optional).
- Quickdraws and anchor material (optional).
Carpooling
We will meet at St David's United Church to organize carpooling at 3:00pm. The recommended payment for carpooling is $8 for the round trip. If you'd like to meet us in Murrin Park directly, please let me know.
