I will be doing the Sandakphu Phalut trek with my family Dec 6-12, 2025. This is a fully guided trek and typically with a large group (20-25 people). India Hikes is the guiding company. Once you start the trek, all the logistics/food/accommodation is managed by India Hikes and the total cost for seven days (Trek Fee + Local Tarnsportation + Taxes) is less than CAD 300. Your biggest cost is going to be flights to India, which depending on the dates and connections can range from $1300 to $2000. Cheaper ($1000 onwards) if you fly from Seattle.

Here is a great photo story with highlights of the trek - https://indiahikes.com/blog/sandakphu-phalut-trek-photo-story
The trek is fully guided with a big group and is much different style than any of the treks we do around here. But considering the permits, logistics, etc. I prefer to go with India Hikes as they are very professional, follow Leave No Trace principles and do their best to support the local economy as well as the trekking community in India.
I will be departing Vancouver Nov 27 and will be departing India on Dec 29. I would recommend adding at least a few days before or after the trek for your stay in India. I would also encourage you to explore other areas and I would be happy to chat and share ideas. If you have time and interest, you can also consider other treks with India Hikes -
