Have you done any multi-day trips in the winter before?

I will be located around the Smithers area starting on January 1st and I'd like to take advantage to do a traverse in the area. I do not have a specific objective in mind as I'd like to see how the avalanche conditions shape up before making a decision. There is a persistent layer in the snowpack up there, so there's a good chance I'd look to do something more mellow. Naturally this trip will be weather dependent as well.
If weather does not allow for a traverse, I'm open to single day outing(s) as well. I have a 2 person 4-season tent. Any participants would need a winter sleeping bag and mat, AST-1 and ideally some experience winter camping, but I'm open to those with the gear and not the experience.
I have access to a crosstrek type of vehicle and can drive up to 4 people.
