Have you ever wanted to know more about the magic of radio communication? Do all the different options confuse and intimidate you? Are you tired of just shouting at people? Then this session might be for you!
This online instructional session about getting the most out of your radio will include segments on the regulatory options available to back country users, basic theory, and practical things you can do to maximize your ability to communicate outside of cellular range. There will be an emphasis on VHF/UHF voice communications for a non-technical audience and include live demonstrations of antenna matching.
This session should last about 4 hours, including breaks and time for questions. Participants do not need to have their own radio or any prior experience to participate. There will, unfortunately, not be any licenses or certifications issued at the end of this program. The session will be online only, a link will be sent to all paying participants the same day of the session.
