Trip Planning Questions

1) Do you have trail running shoes?

2) Have you ran on a trail before?

3) Are you planning to drive there? Could event attendees leave their change of clothes in your vehicle?

4) What is your road Zone 2/easy run pace? In minutes/km. This information will help me place suggestions for creating different pace groups.

5) Have you run more than 15km and at least 600 meters of elevation gain in a single trail run before? This is to also help me suggest pacing groups.

Participant Information

Hey Trailblazers,

There are a few of us who have signed up for trail running races, it would be great to run with ya'll! If you don't have any races upcoming but still want to trail run, come join us still!

I am aiming for four stops during the run to round up everyone. We will have a make-shift 'aid station' at the 16 KM mark.

Come out and stretch your legs!

Packing list:

1) Bring a change of cloth and non-running shoes to keep yourself warm and dry (in case of rain).

2) Running vest with 2x 500 ml hydration pack, and another 1L of water to keep in the car. Bring a total of 2 L of water.

3) sufficient electrolyte to dissolve into 2L of water, energy gels, running fuel/food (can be real food like nutella sandwiches, whatever keeps your body fuelled during a longer run)

4) If you need trekking poles going down the hills, bring them. I will bring my own since I twisted my ankle badly doing Run Ridge Run this year.

We will figure out carpool later.
