FAQ
What are the routes?
You can do a full Brockton to Brockton point, or a half Brockton to somewhere halfway.
How many Brocktons do you usually do?
Sometimes a full Brockton, often a Brockton and a half. If feeling ambitious, then maybe a double Brockton.
What if I don’t want to do a double Brockton?
No problem. There is a lodge with beer available no matter however many Brocktons you complete.
Why the “Party Boi Mountain Club”?
An event was organized to ski to Brockton point and have a beer after. Somehow we ended up with a group chat and a club name. It stuck. That’s what it is now.
The club name seems a bit gendered?
All genders and touring abilities are welcome. Just need to be able to skin and ski.
Should I come?
Yes.
Where / when do you meet?
Old Buck Parking Lot at 5:30 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/kqUD4LvwE94N7WwG6)
How do I get up from Old Buck to the trailhead?
To save the environment, we will pack people into one or more cars to drive up.
Is this a net zero event?
Yes. Calories burned skinning = beer calories consumed.
Is the drinking heavy?
No. One drink - sadly, we have to go to jobs in the morning to fund basic necessities and ski gear purchases.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
The hot chocolates look kinda ridiculous. Please order the unicorn hot chocolate. There are also other less exciting non-alcoholic options.
What do I need to bring?
Touring set up, headlamp, helmet, spare layer, water / food
