Participant Information

A ski tour to either:

1) Gin Peak via Hanging Lake - start from Whistler Olympic Park Biathlon Range at 8:30am (pay $20 per car for parking and be back by 4pm before gate closes).

2) Mount Sproatt via Rainbow Lakes trail - park at Rainbow Falls trailhead off of Alta Lake road and leave by 9am.

I will take a vote and discuss logistics the day before (Saturday PM). I have not been to either area before so will take suggestions.

Pace: Moderate. 

Level: Previous ski touring experience, preferably this season. Intermediate or decent confidence on skis. AST1 & avy gear required for all participants. You are able to actively participate in the decision-making process during the trip.

Elevation: 1000m gain, distance ~10km.

Trip conditions: Avy conditions expecting to be Low but decisions on the days objective will be made based on the day's avalanche and snow conditions.
