There are about as many Goat Ridges in the world as there are goats! This particular elevated geomorphic landform starts along the Sea to Sky highway and ends, rather abruptly, at Sky Pilot Mountain. Access is steep, but it is a bit more foreshortened when accessing from the Britannia Beach FSRs. I have done this once, many years ago, and recall a very beautiful subalpine landscape.

There is a bit of a risk that we will be too early in the season. However, my efforts on the ridge have typically been this time of year, and bootpacking can be possible. To improve our attempt, I advise microspikes and a mountaineering axe. If we encounter snow, then it will likely be in the trees when an uncontrolled slip could be costly. Outside of that, I think standard hiking fare is acceptable. There is a chance that it will be a hot day, so dress accordingly.
