Description

Some additional offerings have been added to the schedule for courses this winter:

This includes two course offerings of an ACMG instructor taught skier-oriented Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue Course. Both are scheduled for the weekend of January 11-12, 2014:
1) Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue Course (Mt Seymour) with a focus on the technical rescue systems.
2) Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue Course (Blackcomb Mtn) with a focus on the glacier travel skills.

An additional offering of an AST-1 course has been added for December 28-29 for snowshoers.  If you're waiting for the chance to take an avalanche training course, here's your chance.  Please note that many of the AST-1 courses offered by local mountaineering companies are filling up quickly for December and January.  It's important to be prepared for trips into the backcountry whenever and wherever there is a chance of avalanches releasing.

There are also many other course options are available this winter still, check out the trip list for more course offerings.
