The FMCBC is hosting a presentation by Sandy Allan (author of In Some Lost Place) in Vancouver on Tuesday, April 5th.

Poster for the book titled... In Some Lost Place: The first ascent of Nanga Parbat’s Mazeno RidgeThis April, the FMCBC will be hosting a presentation by Sandy Allan, Scottish mountaineer and author of the 2015 book In Some Lost Place: The first ascent of Nanga Parbat’s Mazeno Ridge (which received a glowing review by Mike Nash in our Fall/Winter edition of Cloudburst). Sandy will speak about his experiences climbing what was previously widely regarded as 'the last great climb' of the Himalaya—the giant Mazeno Ridge on Nanga Parbat, the world’s ninth highest mountain. His team’s ascent took 18 days, the last four of which were endured without food and water.  Come listen to Sandy describe his epic journey to the top and to find out what’s next for this storied climber.
